About Dr Carles Pedret
Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Specialist in Sports Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona. My main activity is the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of muscle and tendon injuries.
Specialist in ultrasound diagnosis and ultrasound-guided biopsy, as well as in magnetic resonance imaging.
Visiting Professor of Rehabilitation at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds.
Master’s degree in Sports Traumatology and teaching experience in the field of ultrasound diagnostics and soft-tissue injuries at universities such as the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the University of Leeds.
Participant in multiple research projects and author of articles published in prestigious national and international journals such as the British Journal of Sports Medicine, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Skeletal Radiology, Sports Medicine, the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Sciences in Sports, and The Lancet.
I work in the Sports Medicine and Imaging Department at Clínica Diagonal. My main activity is serving as an external consultant to multiple professional teams in the English Premier League and Championship, the Italian Serie A, the Spanish LaLiga, the French Ligue 1, the Belgian Pro League, and the German Bundesliga (in soccer). NBA basketball teams and teams from the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), and the National Hockey League (NHL).
